Ennwell-Triola

This is an Ennwell-Triola signal flashlight from 1935. Made in the Ennwell factory, which was started at 1895 in Nuremberg. Morse function, 40 mm lens, and two coloured, red-green filters - this is what the Triola name implies. The Triola is a musical term, a group of three notes to be performed in the time of two ordinary notes of the same kind.

Soviet flashlight from the WW2, for the Red Army. Without any name or signing. Why would they use a brand name in the soviet type socialism?.. That was totally irrelevant in the USSR at this time. The switch and the filter buttons are very similar to the polish Elektrodyn, and the opening mechanism came from the german Zeiler 4848. It's had big nickel plated buttons. Big, but difficult to use with single hand. It's very tight, hard to rotate.  One rivet is missing. I think that's not a losted rivet, that's never was here. Why they would used four rivet, if three is enough here? Well usable switch. Right is the safety mode, middle is the morse, and the left is the constant light. I like it. Useful details on the filter buttons. The red button more densely knurled like the green. It's a good thing, you can feel with your fingertip which button is the right. Daimon Telko-Trio Focus (2213 Fok)

Daimon Telko-Trio Focus with the original bulb.. The "Telko" serial was made in many-many variations, this is the last generation of the focusable version. The switch with morse function on the top, and the focus slider on the side. Made with  red, green filters. The slidable shield on the button is a safety function against the accidental switching. I love these little details! The focus slider button moves the little arm, which move back and forth the reflector. This focus the light beam. In a 1935's catalog. The left on the bottom. Why are the most cool and interesting things usually the rarest and hardest to find? You can collect flashlights for decades, and may you can't get this. Around a few thousand pieces made of that, but by now a few hundred, or less could remain. The first version of the 646 was made around 1934.The piece that I presented here now is a later, but not the latest version. The 646 was the Pertrix brand's most expensive product. All of the parts are non-magnetic, made of copper. Copper was an expensive material in this period, the military industry used a lot of it.   All parts of the flashligh are non-magnetic, because it's had a compass on the top.
